The Fremont County Auditor’s Office has been approved by the U.S. State Department to become a passport acceptance facility. Passport application services are available in the Fremont County Auditor’s Office.

Alcohol Permits

The Fremont County Auditor's Office supplies alcoholic beverage application forms for all Fremont County establishments located outside the city limits who wish to sell alcoholic beverages. Once the applicant has completed the necessary paperwork, it is submitted to the Fremont County Board of Supervisors for their approval. After approval by the Board, the paperwork is forwarded to the State. The State will then send the permit back to the Fremont County Auditor who will forward the permit to the applicant. Once the applicant has received their permit, they must post it at the establishment in full view of the public. Permits are generally issued for a one-year period with the initial starting date determined by the applicant.

Class B Liquor License Allows hotels and motels to sell liquor, wine, beer and wine coolers for on premises consumption. Also allows carry-out sales of beer and wine coolers in original unopened containers. IC §123.30(3)(b)

Class B Beer Permit Allows commercial establishments to sell beer for on premises consumption. Also allows carry-out sales of beer and wine coolers in original unopened containers. IC §123.124

Cigarette Permits

The Fremont County Auditor's Office supplies retail cigarette applications for all Fremont County establishments located outside the city limits who wish to obtain a permit to sell retail cigarettes. The completed application is submitted for approval to the Fremont County Board of Supervisors. After approval, the Fremont County Auditor's office issues the permit to the applicant. Once the applicant has received their permit, they must post it at the establishment in full view of the public. All retail cigarette permits expire on the next June 30th after issue.  Permits cannot be issued for longer than one year.  They will be issued for shorter periods of time if purchased after July 1, and the fee will be prorated.
